It’s National Fluffernutter Day!! How fun is that?! Grab your kids and get them in the kitchen to help you with this delicious snack the whole family will love. If you don’t know what a fluffernutter is, it is a basically a peanut butter sandwich with marshmallow fluff that is then grilled. Yum! The peanut butter and fluff melt into ooey gooey goodness. There are so many variations to this sandwich, but here is the basic recipe.
What you will need:
2 slices of your favorite bread – I used honey wheat
all natural, organic peanut butter or try our homemade peanut butter
Heat a small pan over medium heat. Spread one slice of bread with peanut butter and the other with marshmallow fluff. Put 2 slices of bread together and spread the outside of both sides of the sandwich with a small amount of Kelapo coconut oil to grill the bread. Place sandwich in hot pan and cook until golden brown. Flip sandwich and cook until the other side is golden brown and the insides are all melty. I know you will enjoy this one!
The options for this sandwich are endless:
Use Nutella instead of peanut butter
Use almond butter instead of peanut butter
Make your own homemade marshmallow fluff for a healthier option
Add peeled and sliced apples
Add sliced strawberries
Add peanuts or use chunky peanut butter
