Mardi Gras Martini Recipe

These come out looking really festive so definitely a must!

Ingredients needed:

¾ oz of grape vodka

¾ oz Peach Snapps

2 oz of grape juice

Color sugar sprinkles (purple, green and gold)

1 tablespoon of sugar

1 tablespoon of water

To make the simple syrup for this drink by microwaving the sugar and water on high for 30 seconds. Stir and mix for 30 seconds, then pour the syrup on a saucer. On a separate saucer, lay purple, green and gold sprinkles. Dip your martini glass in the simple syrup and then rim the glass with sprinkles while rotating 1/3 of the glass in each color. Grab your shaker and add the ice, grape vodka, peach schnapps and grape juice. Shake well for about 10 to 15 seconds and strain into your martini glass.

King Cake Jello Shots

Ingredients needed

12 glass or plastic shot glasses (oz each)

1 ¾ cup of prepared lemonade

4 envelopes of plain gelatin

1 ¼ cups of cake-flavored vodka

2 teaspoons of sweetened condensed milk

Liquid food coloring (green, yellow and neon purple)

1 can of vanilla frosting (for rims)

Decorating sugars in purple green and yellow (for rims)

You’ll want to start by prepping your shot glasses. Dip each one into the vanilla frosting then dip 1/3 of the rim into all three colors of sugars and set aside. Then pour the already made lemonade into a small saucepan and sprinkle with gelatin. Make sure you allow it to soak for a couple of minutes. Turn the heat on low and continue to stir until the gelatin is dissolved then remove from heat. You’ll want to now add in the cake vodka and the condensed milk. Grab 3 separate bowl and divide the gelatin mixture between them. Use the yellow, purple and green food coloring in their respective bowls.

Hint: For yellow add 4 drops, for green 4 drops and for neon purple 4 drops

Next, use tablespoon to add about 1 tablespoons of the purple gelatin to each shot glass and refrigerate for about 20 minutes. Remove the glasses from the fridge and add a layer of edible sprinkles (optional) over the purple layer. Then add in about 1 tablespoon of yellow gelatin into each shot glass and refrigerate for another 20 minutes. Now, for the last color! Take the glasses out of the fridge, add in the last layer of edible sprinkles over the yellow layer and add about 1 tablespoon of green gelatin into each shot glass. You’ll want to refrigerate these overnight before they’re ready for your guests.
