    DIY Microwave Popcorn

    Have you ever seen the ingredients in those convenient, prepackaged bags of microwave popcorn? Diacetyl? Hyrdrogenated oils? No thank you! According to CBS News, diacetyl has been linked to “respiratory problems” and “Alzheimer’s.”  I don’t know about you, but I would prefer to keep that ingredient out of my diet as much as possible.  No more microwave popcorn when I go to the store.     National Popcorn Day

    It’s National Popcorn Day! We all know Kelapo Coconut Oil is fantastic on popcorn, but here are some ideas to make it even better. Start by either popping your traditional kernals in the coconut oil, or top some un-buttered microwave stuff with a drizzle. Next up, toppings!   -Grated parmesan cheese and garlic powder -A drizzle of dark chocolate -Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper -Cinnamon and sugar -Melted peanut butter, then chocolate chips -Balsamic vinegar (sounds weird, but give it a try!)   Now get poppin!   -AM
