In season fruit and vegetables are not only cost efficient, but taste better than out of season ones. Currently, pears are in season! Pears are one of my favorite fruit, so when I found this recipe for grilling pears for a healthier dessert, I knew I had to try it! My family doesn’t celebrate Hanukkah, but I LOVE to eat Fried Potato Pancakes (Latkes in Yiddish) with applesauce around the holidays.  Coconut oil makes these about twenty times better than the old standby, canola oil, and your house will smell nicer, too!   Ingredients: 5 potatoes 2 onions 3 eggs, beaten 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper ½ cup all-purpose flour Kelapo Coconut oil for frying   Directions: Peel potatoes and place in a food processor with the onions.
