Paleo Apple Cobbler and Holiday Giveaway!

Apple Cobbler

With Thanksgiving being right around the corner, we start to think about wholesome foods and where they originated. Today I wanted to focus on the Paleo Diet since it’s based upon eating wholesome, contemporary foods from the food groups that our hunter-gatherer ancestors would have thrived on during the Paleolithic era, or Stone Age. I made an apple cobbler that was quick and simple to put together. This is a great idea for Thanksgiving dessert or any day of the week. Here’s what you’ll need:

2 cups blanched almond flour

1 teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon nutmeg

½ cup Kelapo Coconut Oil

¼ cup honey

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

¼ cup dried cranberries

5 medium apples, peeled, sliced, then chopped in half width-wise

Preheat the oven to 350° F.

In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

In a small bowl, combine the coconut oil, honey, and vanilla.

Stir all the wet ingredients together and then add them into the dry ingredients.

Place the chopped apples and cranberries into a baking dish and then crumble the topping over the apples.

Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until the apples are soft.

Remove from the oven and serve warm.

I love coconut oil — it is absolutely DELICIOUS, but my favorite part is that it can handle high temperatures, which means I can use it in ANYTHING, unlike other oils. I also love that it can be turned into a “magic-shell” topping for banana soft-serve. DELISH! <3

Why do I love coconut oil ? Let me count the ways ! 1) It tastes great. 2) It’s good for you ( it’s a healthy fat) 3) more… It’s good for you ( I’m told that if you have GERD caused by H. Pylori – coconut oil can help eradicate this micro organism) 4) even more .. It’s good for you … It’s high in lauric acid – which can help boost your immune system and has antiviral properties. (source: )
    5) It’s very versatile. You can eat it right out of the jar, added to your favorite food or drink, and can fry with it too ! You can even rub it on your scalp, face, hands, anyplace ! ( said to have anti-aging properties )

OMG, Coconut oil is not only a staple for me, but a life saver.. It is good for so many things both health and household… I add it to my smoothies, to soups, to saute with, use a mouth swish, great for cooking and baking almost everything.. I could go on and on… wish I could afford to purchase it by the gallon as it should be in every home… It has totally helped with my digestive problems … it has so many health properties too numerous to mention right now.. winning this basket would be so incredible as I also have not been aware of your brand in the coconut oil market until today… Would love to review your products and create some social buzz about them!
