Golden Milk

This drink is great for the fall weather but is also great for anti-inflammatory issues. This milk beats taking pills and is a natural remedy with anti-microbial benefits as well. This recipe is also completely vegan!

Ingredients needed:

1 ½ light coconut milk

1 ½ cups of almond milk

1 ½ teaspoon of ground turmeric

¼ teaspoon ginger

1 whole cinnamon stick

1 tablespoon of Kelapo Coconut Oil

1 pinch of black pepper

1 tablespoon of honey

In a saucepan, add in the coconut milk, almond milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon stick, Kelapo Coconut Oil, black pepper and honey. Turn up the heat to medium and whisk to combine all the ingredients. Make sure as you heat the ingredients, it does not start to boil. The idea is to stir frequently. After about 4 to 5 minutes, turn off the heat and taste for flavor. If it needs to be a bit sweeter, add another tablespoon of honey and turn on the heat for 1 more minute as you whisk. Serve immediately and enjoy!

This goes great with biscotti’s too!

Apple Cider Vinegar

Now, this drink can be strong but like many nutritious drinks, it’s necessary to suck it up and drink. Please do not have more sugar than is necessary. Honey and coconut oil are great substitutes if you need the drink to be just a bit sweeter. You can make a pitcher (if you are increasing the ingredients x4) or per glass as described below.

Ingredients needed:

1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

8 oz. filtered water

Lemon juice (1/2 lemon)

Ice

Organic liquid stevia

Simply mix all the ingredients together in a glass with a wooden spoon or you can blend using a cocktail shaker and then serve. For an added touch of flavor add a slice of lemon.
