One of my favorite FRIENDS moments is when Monica is giving Chandler a “massage” – but instead of it being relaxing, she’s hurting the poor guy! Thankfully, for everyone involved, I’m better at giving massages than Monica, just ask my boyfriend, Dave. He was diagnosed with a type of arthritis that makes his muscles and joints stiff which makes my special talent for finding knots beneficial, at least for him.
To help prevent giving Dave a raw back, I started using Kelapo Coconut Oil as a massage oil. Not only does it smell delicious, it absorbs into the skin nicely so he doesn’t have to wash it off like normal message oils. While I’ve used just the coconut oil, our friends at Whipped Up Wonderfulprovided us with this delicious recipe idea for a flavored massage oil.

You’ll Need –
Kelapo Coconut Oil, warmed to liquid Flavoring oil (Can be purchased at stores carrying baking goods, like Candy Flavor Oils)
Wide-mouth jar
Clean & sanitize your work area. It is suggested that you wear gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net while preparing this recipe (especially if you make this for friends).
Add 2 ml of flavor oil for each 8 ounces of coconut oil. Pour into jar and mix!
Whipped Up Wonderful suggests using chocolate, cherry or strawberry flavors – can’t you already smell how delicious this is?
Just by the very nature of an unrefined coconut oil, it will become more of a solid above 76 degrees Fahrenheit. This is why I suggest keeping it in a wide-mouth jar to make it easier to scoop out if the oil hardens. Of course, it will be a liquid once it’s warmed in your hands.
