DIY Lotion with Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil Lotion

Coconut oil is your natural remedy for all your skin, hair, and body needs! Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself! If you don’t like applying oil to your skin I have the trick for you! When you whisk together Kelapo Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is becomes a similar consistency to any lotion that you may use for your skin. Simple, right?! I know, I didn’t believe it either but was amazed when I tried it myself. Now, obviously it doesn’t actually turn the oil into lotion, but it is definitely easier to apply as a “lotion.”

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons of Kelapo Coconut Oil

10 – 15 drops of essential oil, of your choice

Directions:

1. Pour the coconut oil into a small bowl and whisk together; this will form a smooth, lotion-like consistency.

2. Add your essential oil and mix together until blended.

Uses for this lotion:
  • Dry/Cracked Skin
  • Irritated Skin
  • Pregnant Bellies
  • Cuticles
  • Razor Burns
  • Chafing

TA DA Lotion!

Coconut oil transformed into lotion in a couple of easy steps, it is just that easy! I used a very small amount of oil, so you will need to adjust the amount of oil depending on how much you would like to make. If you are making a larger batch make sure to keep it sealed in an airtight container, you could keep it in your Kelapo jar! Since this is an oil I’m not sure how long it would stay in the lotion-like consistency so if you do make a large batch, keep your whisk close in case you need to re-whip the batch.
Would you use this DIY Lotion made with Kelapo?
