Coconut Oil Tattoo Healing

Comparison Using Coconut Oil

Hey Kelapo fans, my name is Sebastian and I’m the newest nut on the Kelapo team! In the future, I’ll be sharing useful everyday tips and tricks for coconut oil.

It is not something most people talk about, but proper tattoo aftercare is one of the most important parts of ensuring your tattoo will be the best it can be for years to come. Since 2009, I have spent over thirty hours under the hand of a tattoo artist. All of my tattoos are on my lower body and swelling has always been an issue for me. It is pretty standard for me to see swelling for four to five days after my appointment. Because of this issue, I am always trying out different ointments and moisturizers in hopes of expediting the healing process.

I have recently been introduced to coconut oil and heard about its potential moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties. Once scabbing started, I decided to give coconut oil a try. My results were AMAZING! My skin stayed moisturized for longer than any other product I’ve used and it’s almost entirely eliminated the dreaded itch associated with healing tattoos. After only three days of having the work done, my swelling was completely gone! I am more than satisfied with the results I received and would highly recommend using coconut oil for your tattoo aftercare needs.

Directions:

  • Whip coconut oil by any means until you have an even consistency.
  • Apply liberally three times a day, allow for oil to be absorbed into skin.
  • Dab away any excess oil.
Do you have any unquie ways that you use coconut oil?
