Sylvia from Florida recently tried our recipe for pie crust made with coconut oil and she loved it!
I just tried that recipe and Oh, My!!!
When I was making it, it sure looked different from when I make my crusts with Crisco and I wondered if it was going to work. I made mini Pear tarts.
I’ve never tasted such a wonderfully crisp, enjoyable crust! I can’t wait to try other recipes. I’ve been looking for a substitute for Crisco for so long and this is definitely it.
