It’s day 2 of our back to school snacks! Most kids favorite foods consist of pizza, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, and macaroni and cheese. Skip the butter the next time you make mac and cheese and use coconut oil instead. Your children will thank you for this yummy after school snack!
For a quick and simple snack: Pick up a box of your favorite organic prepackaged mac and cheese, like Annie’s. Follow the directions on the box, just make sure to substitute coconut oil for the butter or oil.
For a homemade mac and cheese treat: Throw all of the ingredients in the crock pot and walk away! Your mac and cheese will be ready by the time the kiddos get home from school. Simply prepare the ingredients on the stove, then put it in the oven to bake. If you are running short on time you don’t even have to bake it. Just mix all of the ingredients together on the stove and heat. Enjoy!
